In a short press release sent to the media, Mayor Glen Grant, issued an apology for violating the Municipal Elections Act. Here is the content of that apology.

“On June 7, 2022 I inadvertently sent a Press Release from my city computer announcing my intention to run for Mayor in the 2022 Municipal election.I didn’t realize at the time that I was breaching the Code of Conduct.

I have a reputation for following procedures and I should have recognized this fact when I sent the email.

I am making a public apology for this error in judgement and be assured it will not be repeated.

Glen G. Grant”

The email came from Grant’s hotmail account.
