We, at the Seeker, are so proud to launch a new website today that aims at helping those who can’t go out get the food and supplies they need by connecting them with volunteer shoppers who can run their errands and safely bring them to their front door, and so much more.

The Seeker has partnered with The Optimist Club of Cornwall, VersaCore Tech Designs,  Bob Sloan at Summit Foods and Prestige Catering to put this project in place, but we welcome any community partner interested in helping.

How does GoFeedMe.ca work?

GoFeedMe.ca is an initiative to try and help the community in many ways.

It is a completely FREE service.

The service is free to use for those who need help.  Whether they order groceries or food from one of our caterers, delivery is always free.  Tips to our volunteers are welcome, but please no cash!  Tips can be given through the website, which will be sent electronically to the volunteers.

It helps local businesses

Restaurants and grocery stores can be listed for free to show people they are still open.  
While the service is free for those in need, restaurants and caterers can use our site to sell their product on the GoFeedMe marketplace for a modest fee of 2.5%.   This will be used to make sure our volunteers get what they need to stay safe.

It helps people who are stuck at home

Individuals who are self-isolating, quarantaining or at risk can order groceries or meals, which are then shopped for and delivered by our volunteers

It helps our front line workers and volunteers

Companies and individuals who have ppe items to donate but do not want to go out can schedule a free pick up / delivery and a volunteer will get and deliver them

It gives people with nothing to do something to participate in and be proud about

Individuals can sew masks for use by our volunteers.
Individuals can volunteer to shop / deliver groceries to those who can’t go out.
