She became a beloved figure through her performances in series such as “Fanfreluche” and “Passe-Partout” during the 1970s. Her career also included a starring role in the English Canadian drama series “Home Fires” in the early 1980s. In addition to her acting, Yaroshevskaya was a storyteller and author, publishing several works of children’s literature. Her passing marks the end of a significant era in Canadian children’s entertainment.

Growing up, when my parents fought, I found my own escape in the magical world of Fanfreluche. I watched it religiously, losing myself in its enchanting stories and Kim Yaroshevskaya’s warm, captivating presence. It was a safe haven, a portal to a place where imagination and wonder could shield me from the chaos of the real world.

Thank you Kim!
