On December 21st, I caught up with Santa Claus on the ski hill. When I arrived at the Big Ben Ski Centre, I spotted him at the top of the hill and watched him make his way down, slipping and sliding. He was carrying his big red bag and would occasionally pause to give out treats to the kids and pose for photos as snowboarders and skiers zipped all around him.

Thanks to the snow-making machine, Big Ben has the best snow in town. If you’re looking for some winter fun, the centre has extended holiday hours:

Open until 5 p.m. today.

December 22nd and 23rd, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

December 24th-26th – Closed

December 27th-30th, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

December 31st – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

January 1st – Closed

January 2nd – back to regular hours
