Remembrance Day

On November 11th, under freshly falling snow, I was in Cornwall for the Remembrance Day Ceremony. I watched a procession of veterans, active service members, first responders, and youth organizations march down Second Street West under the recently erected Veterans Walk’s banners. They made their way from the Royal Canadian Legion to the cenotaph in Legion Memorial Park, as a solemn reminder of all those who served and continue to serve to protect and defend our beloved country.

“How important is it for us to recognize and celebrate our heroes and she-roes!” (Maya Angelou)

(Cenotaph Ceremony photos from fellow-photojournalist, Dick Budge, will follow.)
