A Tribute on Ice – The First Annual David Murphy Memorial Game

Cornwall, Ontario – On December 9th, Cornwall, Ontario, hosted the first David Murphy Memorial Game at the Benson Centre, celebrating the late David Murphy’s legacy. 

Local celebrities played against the Cornwall Colts, supporting St. Vincent de Paul with a $5 entry fee or food donations. 

A memorial ring board was unveiled, honoring Murphy’s contributions to Cornwall’s community and hockey. 

Organizer Mike Turcotte praised Murphy who was a councilor, sports hall of fame inductee, media personality, and devoted father. 

The event featured retired pro players, including Chad Kilger (NHL), highlighting Murphy’s extensive local impact.
