2022-2026 Council of the Township of South Stormont Sworn in at Inauguration Ceremony

South Stormont, ON – On Wednesday, November 16, 2022, the Township of South Stormont held the Inaugural Meeting of Council where the newly elected members of Council were sworn in.

“We’re excited to get this new term of Council underway,” says Mayor Bryan McGillis. “The majority of our Council are returning to continue the important work we started four years ago. We look forward to welcoming Councillor McIntyre and his experience to the team and know that he will help us propel this Township forward.” 

The newly-elected Council consists of Bryan McGillis, returning as Mayor; Deputy Mayor Andrew Guindon, who served as Councillor in the previous term; returning Councillors Jennifer MacIsaac and Cindy Woods; and newcomer Reid McIntyre serving as Councillor.

Over the next couple weeks, Council will undertake the orientation process with staff, with the next Regular Council Meeting scheduled for Wednesday, November 30 th at 5:00 p.m.
