Cornwall Fire Services Chief Jeff Weber is proud to announce the hiring of Deputy Fire Chief Matthew Stephenson.

Cornwall.ca — “I am deeply honoured to assume the role of Deputy Fire Chief of Cornwall Fire Services. I look forward to working hard to deliver world-class fire protection services in Cornwall,” said Deputy Chief Stephenson.

“Cornwall is a growing city and there is a lot of opportunity here. I am excited to work with Fire Chief Weber, the emergency services team, and the City of Cornwall residents.”

Most recently, Stephenson was Deputy District Chief for the Strathroy-Caradoc Fire Department as well as the Director of Building/Planning and Waste services for the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc.

Alongside several certificates, Stephenson has a Bachelor’s Degree in Justice & Public Safety with the University of Guelph-Humber and a Diploma in Public Administration with the University of Western Ontario.

Stephenson brings with him excellent leadership skills and a passion for relationship-building.
